The Weldon West Ranch is located approximately 14 miles west of the Edwards County Airport on CR 310.

WATER: Back to Top

There is a shared water well at the headquarters. Water is pumped into a large rock tank made out of native limestone rock. Water is piped to water troughs, ponds and to the cabin.

The terrain is rolling hill country with small canyons between the low mountains and ridges. There is an abundance of live oak timber, walnut trees in the draws and scattered cedar. Persimmon, mountain laurel, and a good stand of grass covers the property.

The original livestock working pens, and barns are located at the old Weldon Ranch headquarters. The pens are historic and are constructed with heart cedar pickets and cedar posts. The old wooden wind mill tower still stands high in air.

The two room, one bath cabin constructed with native limestone rock is located near the north boundary.

Whitetail deer, axis, wild turkey, aoudad, and an occasional elk or sika deer are the prevalent species of wild game animals that roam the land. The ranch is not leased for commercial hunting.

Pedernales Electric Coop provides electricity. Electric line is nearby. Southwest Texas Telephone furnishes telephone and internet service.

There is a livestock grazing lease in effect and can be terminated with a forty five day notice. Access from CR 310 is by recorded easement that is insurable by an Owner's Policy of Title Insurance. This ranch is located in an area that is quiet and peaceful. Adjoining ranches are fairly large and are owned by friendly neighbors. Hunting is limited to family and a few friends. At closing the owners will furnish a current survey and an Owner's Policy of Title Insurance.
